I love the tube, YouTube that is, and I’m hooked. I watch everything from cooking videos, vlogs, home décor, finance videos, cleaning videos, academic videos, to mukbangs. Mukbangs have become some of my favorite videos to watch as of late. I mean, you get to watch people sit and eat an embarrassment of food. What could be better than that? Indeed, it is oddly satisfying, and an easy way for me to live vicariously through them.
There are a lot of mukbangers on Youtube, but no one gets it quite as right as the Baddie Twinz. They call their supporters the “Baddie Army,” of which I am a proud member. There’s just something special about these guys. Craig and Carey are identical twins, both gay, and they hail from the beautiful island of Jamaica. They shared that they had to flee their own country due to the overwhelming homophobia which reached the point of death threats.
Despite the numerous challenges and obstacles they overcame, this has not hindered them from doing what they do best, that is, to entertain and make people laugh their asses off. These multitalented guys vlog, cook, dance, and are also event hosts. Their ultimate goal is to be hosting on someone’s red carpet one day. They upload daily at 6 pm, and this is something I look forward to everyday when I get home in the evenings.
I find it difficult to watch mukbangers eat for 30 minutes and have absolutely nothing to talk about. Essentially, their ability to hold the audience’s attention through an informative or entertaining narrative is what really counts. The Baddie Twinz have mastered the art of doing this. Their spontaneity is evident, and their entire performance feels organic and effortless from start to finish.
You’re sure to see Carey giving Craig the side eye throughout the videos as Craig embarks on his episodes of extraness: “Oh yess!!,” “Yes Ma’am,” “She ready”!! I also love the variety of food that thy eat in their mukbangs which is not limited to seafood as most mukbangers would have it. All jokes aside, I look forward to the daily “Ask Baddie Twinz” segment where they respond to an email soliciting their advice on an issue. They never fail to provide sound advice to their viewers, which highlights their depth and wisdom, and their variety in terms of what they bring to the table. You can also count on Carey to bring you the latest on trending topics so you’re never left in the dark.
These guys are uber-talented. At some point during the video, be sure to expect that they’re going to break out singing in unison, and my gurls never miss a beat. Their commitment to their work is clear. You can see this in the quality editing that Craig produces, and their consistency in creating great content.
They recognize that their success is highly dependent on the feedback and support of their viewers, and they never seize to acknowledge that. They are very appreciative of the support and outpouring of love from the Baddie army, and their shoutout segment highlights that as well. When they gave a shoutout to CreativeAjay’s Kitchen, I almost died.
The Baddie Twinz’ channel is much more than a mukbang show. It is therapy. It is light. It is laughter. It is something to look forward to everyday at 6pm. Did I already mention how much I love me some Craig and Carey?
At the time of writing this article, the Baddie Twinz are at ~119 K YouTube subscribers. There’s no doubt that this growth will be astronomical. I’m so happy to be a part of the Baddie army and I wish them seasons of endless growth and prosperity.
Singing…..Baddie Twinz, Baddie Twinz, Baddie, Baddie, Baddie, Baddie, Baddie Twinz…
