Best of Creative Ajay – My Obsession with African Prints

The past decade was marked with a lot of memorable moments. We boldly stepped into our own and started to embrace our new-found passion – our love for African print fabrics.

The year was 2015, and I remember being completely obsessed with African prints. Every moment I got, I would try to get my hands on every head wrap I could find and I was completely in love with my growing collection. We’re all about elements that are captivating and interesting, and the beautiful designs of these prints easily checked those boxes.

Woman in a tree at Central Park

Here’s when we took over Central Park with our black girl magic. For a brief moment, I felt like a celeb. People were coming up to me and taking pictures both with and of me. It was a very humbling experience to say the least.

I felt like this fashion choice imparted not only an aura of elegance, but also a sense of royalty. I felt like a Queen, as I was boldly rocking my “crown.” Significantly, the whole experience tied very well into our mantra here at Creative Ajay of being Bold, Alluring, & Different.

I did it my way and it felt damn good. Hence, this moment had to be included in the “Best of Creative Ajay.”
