I tried a new toothbrush and it changed my life! Last week, I decided to bite the bullet and make my first $100 toothbrush purchase. For a toothbrush this price, it better make my coffee in the mornings, cook my dinner, do my laundry..…you get what I mean. I was never one that is obsessed with expensive purchases. If something can do the job for a fraction of the cost, then I’m going to opt for the less expensive alternative.
Well, I thought that a manual toothbrush was just as effective as an electric toothbrush, at least when you incorporate other dental care techniques like flossing and being mindful of the sugary foods that you eat. But when I used the Sonicare, I immediately experienced what I was missing. I mean, my teeth now feel uber-clean after brushing. The feeling is akin to getting your teeth professionally cleaned at the dentist, sans the accompanying pain and torture.
The Phillips Sonicare ProtectiveClean 6100 Rechargeable Electric Toothbrush has three modes: Clean, White, & Gum Care. You can alternate between these modes depending on your desired cleaning. There are three intensity levels as well that you can use based on your preference or need.
According to Phillips, the device is “clinically proven to whiten teeth in just one week” with its ability to remove surface stains.
It comes with a travel case, a charger, a handle, and a brush head. It may a good option if you wear braces, or use other orthodontic appliances.
These toothbrushes may be better at removing plaque as well due to the increased vibrations. The goal of this post is not to get you to spend $100 on a toothbrush if it is outside of your budget, but for you to give it a try, so you can experience the life-changing magic for yourself.
A lot of times we tend to say “nay” readily without seeing if a particular product is really worth it. But how can you know if something is truly effective if you’ve never tried it? A huge plus is that the Sonicare may be a good device for people with arthritis who may be dealing with limited wrist functionality. The benefits are clear, and I’m sure you teeth will thank you.
It is 2020, a year that we’re putting only our best smiles forward.
