Rasta Colored Smoothie
Need I mention how much I love Rasta colors? From fabrics to makeup, jewelry and accessories, it is a classic combination of vibrant hues: Red, Gold & Green. My inspiration for this mix came from a pic posted on Be Fit Smoothies' Instagram page. They have the most colorful and amazing food pics, which I referenced in an earlier post. The final product looked so much like a work of art, something worthy of preservation. Since I live and breathe art, this triggered my excitement even more.
This mix was super easy to create with ingredients that are readily accessible. The key here is to obtain three distinct layers, top off with some fruits and you're done. I made this smoothie months ago, but laziness has gotten the best of me, hence the delayed post. I was suffering from a rare case of "Blogger's Block" which I'm still fighting to overcome.
(Yield - about two 16 ounce servings)
The next step for getting your three distinct layers is to refrigerate all three layers separately for about 30-45 minutes until they start to solidify.
Carefully pour your layers in a mason jar, top with some colorful fruits, take shameless number of pictures, then you can sip and enjoy the fusion of these great tropical flavors.
Creativity is our way of life here at Creativeajay. The possibilities are endless which is why we always encourage you to BE BOLD. BE ALLURING. BE DIFFERENT.
