My Salads Rock!
by Alecia James Saturday, January 25, 2014
Can't you tell how much I'm into my salads? So much that I can't wait to snap countless pictures, sharing my indulgences until the flavors have found their way dramatically stimulating and exciting my taste-buds. This dish was the perfect addition to my Sunday meal last week, super-easy to prepare while "tasty" and "nutritious" also make accurate descriptions. Of course I'm here to share the deets with you guys.
Like I said in another post, on Sundays, CreativeAjay's kitchen comes alive, buzzing with action. You'll hear sounds of bubbling, chopping, and mixing, all revealing my intentions of creating the most delightful dishes. And you can achieve this too.....
What you'll need:
(For the dressing: 3 table spoons of olive oil & 1 tablespoon of Red wine vinegar.)
**** Add a pinch of black pepper and all-purpose seasoning for even more zest.
In contrast to other salads that I've done, for this one I layered the ingredients instead of mixing them. This was intentional just to give me the desired look. I like to find Art in just about everything and "food art" is no exception.
Below is a photo of the salad I made last Thanksgiving. The ingredients are similar to the ones used in this post with the exception of green peppers and capers for that extra kick. The point here is just to show that there are different ways to enjoy your salad.
Enjoy and savor every bite.
What special touches do you add to your salads?
